In our last and final basic command, I will show you heel. Remember we are now building off of Place, Sit, Down, Stay, and Come.
Teaching heel will take a little bit of time but is definitely worth it. Going for a walk should never be a chore, it should be an enjoyable time outdoors.
Let’s watch the video
In the video you saw Tucker heeling next to me. He will remain at my side unless I give another command, like down. Then when I want him next to me, I will call him to me and we will continue walking. Tucker will never pull me. As you saw, I incorporated several commands in the heel video to show you that each command is a building block.
